The symptoms of Asbestos
A lot of people don’t know about the mineral known as Asbestos, even though you have it around you pretty much every day of your life. In general Asbestos is a mineral, having silica with a lot of desirable properties. It is heat resistant, can be used to extinguish fire, and can be sued as an insulator. But everything that has so many good properties are bound to have adverse effects on a human body and that there is no exception regarding that in case of Asbestos. In actuality it is considered so dangerous that in todays’ time a lot of states and jurisdiction has banned the sue of asbestos in a large scale due to the many bad asbestos symptoms. Prolonged inhalation of asbestos fiber have been seen to cause very deadly asbestos symptoms such as serious illness, malignant lung cancer, mesothelioma and asbestosis, a type of pneumoconiosis. It is a very big threat to the human body after a prolonged exposure to this mineral. But the most dangerous thing about the asbestos symptoms is that most of the asbestos symptoms can be seen to be symptoms of much simpler diseases such as the common cold. This makes it very hard for a doctor to give a full diagnosis on an asbestos exposed patient. It also takes a long time for the asbestos symptoms to actually develop. The development is a very slow process and there are many different symptoms that can be associated asbestos depending on the time of exposure. Long term and short term exposure to asbestos have different asbestos symptoms. High Level of exposure to Asbestos can see you developing asbestos symptoms that can see you having cancer in the lungs and the abdomen. The indication to this sever disease due to exposure to asbestos are very general in the early stage and can be detected fully in the later stages. Some of the general asbestos symptoms include chest pain, with the chest getting stiffened up. Then there is chronic cough which can sometimes see the excretion of blood. Discoloration of the lips and fingers, loss of appetite and weight are also among the asbestos symptoms. Now as I have said before asbestos can cause severe diseases like lung cancer, asbestosis and mesothelioma. They each have different symptoms. Some of the Asbestosis symptoms are: 1. Difficulty in breathing 2. Chest pain 3. Chronic cough 4. Fatigue Some of the Symptoms for Lung Cancer are: 1. Cry coughing, sometime with blood 2. Chest Pain 3. Lung Infection 4. Blood mixed with increased sputum production. Some of the Symptoms of Mesothelioma due to Asbestos are: 1. Fluid in the Lungs 2. Anemia 3. Fatigue 4. Weight loss 5. Swelling 6. High fever These are all Asbestos Symptoms at the end of the day and they are not indistinguishable as you can see by reading. These are long term symptoms which indicate a final stage of the disease, and the few asbestos symptoms that can be caught early on are not distinguishable enough. This makes this a very dangerous material to be around, hence the ban. If caught early, you are highly recommended to go to a doctor and decrease the exposure to asbestos as much as possible. The doctor may even be able to save your life by making you avoid serious diseases like the one mentioned in this article. But importantly, if you are working with asbestos in mining or factories or shipyards it is recommended for you to have regular asbestos checkup to make sure you don’t have the symptoms, and even if you do, you have the time to tackle it properly.
